ESK-SIC GmbH was founded in 1998 as a 100-percent subsidiary of
Elektroschmelzwerk Kempten GmbH within the Wacker-Chemie Group. Following a management
buy-out, it has been operating as an independent company since 2001. The company can
draw on more than 80 years of experience in the production and processing of silicon carbide.
